A Partner You Can Trust With Your Child's Future

Choosing the right tutoring partner is one of the most important decisions you'll make in the run-up to your child's application. Every Oxbridge Mentors tutor is a graduate of Oxford or Cambridge - personally interviewed, reference-checked, and matched to your child by subject, course, and learning style.

The Process

How It Works for Parents

From your first enquiry to offer day, here is what the process looks like - and how you stay informed at every step.

1

Free 30-Minute Consultation

We speak to you and your child together to understand their goals, subject interests, and where they are in the application process. No commitment required.

2

Personalised Plan

We share a detailed programme so you know exactly what to expect - covering personal statements, admissions tests, interviews, or subject tutoring.

3

Expert Tutor Matching

Your child is matched with a tutor who studied their subject at Oxford or Cambridge - selected by subject expertise, university experience, and learning style.

4

Sessions with Progress Visibility

After every lesson, session notes are shared so you can see what was covered, what went well, and what your child should focus on next.

5

Ongoing Communication

Email updates, regular check-ins, and adjustments as needed. You are always in the loop, and the plan adapts as your child progresses.

Transparency

Parent Portal & Visibility

Every lesson your child takes is recorded, reported on, and tracked against the syllabus. You see all of it in our Student Portal, in one place.

AI Progress Reports & Recordings

A written report within 48 hours of every lesson, plus the recording. What was taught, how your child got on, and what to do before next time.

Knowledge Tracker

Every topic your child needs, from A-Level content to admissions test syllabuses and interview themes, scored confident, in progress, or not yet started.

Flashcards & Spaced Repetition

Tutor-written and AI-generated cards on a spaced-repetition schedule, so the topics your child keeps getting wrong keep coming back until they stick.

Secure Messaging

Questions between lessons go through the portal, and every thread is supervised by our admin team. No private channels with your child.

Seamless Tutor Handover

Every tutor works from the same running summary of your child's progress, so a new subject specialist or interviewer starts fully briefed.

Packages & Payments

Buy and track packages, download invoices, and see the hours you have left. Secure card payment through Stripe, with no hidden extras.

What Parents Ask Most

Every one of our tutors is a graduate of the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge. We verify degree certificates and collect two professional references before any tutor can begin working with students.
Sessions start from over £50 per session. We offer pay-as-you-go sessions as well as structured admissions packages tailored to your child's needs. Visit our pricing page for full details, or get in touch for a personalised quote.
Absolutely. Parents are welcome to observe online sessions at any time. All sessions take place over video call, so you can join from the same room or another device.
Everything lands in our Student Portal. Within 48 hours of each lesson you get an AI progress report covering what was taught, how your child got on, and what to work on next, alongside the lesson recording so nothing rests on memory. The portal also shows the knowledge tracker (every topic scored confident, in progress, or not yet started), session history, upcoming bookings, and progress against application milestones.
We want every pairing to be the right fit. If it isn't working, let us know and we'll re-match your child with a different tutor at no extra cost. Getting this right matters to us.
Sessions are arranged at times that suit your family - evenings, weekends, and school holidays are all available. Most families book weekly sessions, but the schedule is fully flexible and can be adjusted as needed.
The Admissions Package is a structured programme tailored to your child's target university, course, and timeline. It typically covers personal statement support, admissions test preparation, and mock interview practice - but the exact mix depends on your child's needs.
The earlier the better, but it's never too late. For Year 12 students, starting 6–12 months before the UCAS deadline is ideal. Year 13 students can still benefit from focused interview and test preparation even a few weeks before their assessments.
